Whew! The second draft is done!

I first had the idea for this novel a few years ago. It started as an online enter your birthdate and get a prophecy type of thing, and the one for my oldest son really spoke to me. Soon, I had this whole race of humanoids creatures with dubious origins, and questionable motives. I sat on the idea for 2 years, and finally began writing in earnest in September 2023. I finished my 1st draft in late December. Editing was a not so fun part for me--it felt like the creativity wasn't an aspect anymore, but I know it's an essential part of the process. I just finished my 2nd draft a few days ago, got it printed at Staples, and I'm going to start in on another round of edits. As of right now it's sitting at 158,000 words, which is a little over 400 pages. (Fourth Wing and ACOMAF are also 158k for reference)

My sister-in-law was my alpha reader and said she loved the book, and I have a few beta readers going through it right now. I'll be on the lookout for more beta readers soon. I've also (hopefully) found an editor who can find the things I missed. 

I'm trying my hand at querying a few agents, and that is a lengthy process, but if I don't hear back from any--or get rejected--I'll hopefully self-publish in the summer or early fall. Anyway, here she is, in all her thick glory.
